 John Kobina Amissah-Sam who played the role of Agu’s father in the ever popular Beasts of No Nation  has stated that, Dumelo, Jim Ike among other great actors auditioned for various roles but were not selected.


According to him,he played the role of Agu’s father in the ever popular Beasts of No Nation movie has disclosed that he had the chance to be one of the casts of Beasts of No Nation because of his hair cut.

When he was asked by Hitz Fm’s MzGee what could possibly be that one thing that did the magic for him and got him a role in the ever popular movie, Beasts of No Nation.

"when he went for the acting audition with my friend ,we were called into the auditioning room, one of the casting director said yes, i have  the African look, and he thinks i would be the best person to play the role of Agu’s father" and that did the magic for me he said.



  “I’m a human, sometimes I get jealous as to why Abraham Attah is getting all those endorsement, and even winning more awards, presenting award at the Oscar’s stage and more.
For  us are not being recognized, but that’s life "

Radio presenter and disc jockey,   Andy Dosty has rubbished claims by   song promoter, Papa Loggy accusing him of failing to promote his songs after paying him to do so.

Papa Loggy made  allegations on   the Am Pluzz hosted by Sammy Flex  indication that, Andy Dosty and many other presenters are killing talents for refusing to play local songs.

Though Papa Loggy will not mention the amount, he insisted that any named presenter who wishes to challenge his claim should be bold and come out.

  Andy Dosty described the allegation as unfounded. According to him, he has made conscious efforts to promote hundred percent Ghanaian songs on his show and all songs Papa Loggy brought to him were promoted .


The response from Loggy, according to Andy Dosty was, “Boss, I respected you from day one. I didn’t mean any harm. All I’m asking you is to help promote our poor musicians.”

Andy Dosty recounted that he had a conversation with Papa Loggy after the interview asking him to be mindful of his utterances.


  “I asked him which poor musicians? The people that pay you money to be given to DJs, are those you call poor musicians? Those people he calls poor musicians, doesn’t he charge them? You don’t sit somewhere and begin to say things at the peril of DJs. I play at Adom, Hitz and Joy. All the songs he said he brought to me, I promoted them across board.”
