Former president of the musicians union of Ghana(MISIGA) Alhaji Sidiku Buari has thrown a piece of advice for the current president Bice Osei Kuffuor.
He said,
“He must listen to people who have been there because they wouldn’t like him to make those mistakes that they did. He is trying to do his best but there is room for more, I have called him and told him several times that look, try and buy equipment for the musicians in the regions so that they can work and generate money for themselves with the money you (Obuor) is spending on the Music Week.”
He further stated that, added that spending money on musicians by handing over funds to them will make them come for more, but when funds are channeled into developing structures and systems, it will go a long way to help the industry especially with the veterans.
