Grace Kaki Awo Ocansey well known in the dancehall fraternity as Kaakie has emphatically stated that her fellow musician is not portraying what dacehall is about.
In a reply to a question as to whether MzVee is a queen in the dancehall fraternity, she responded “I don’t really give it to her because she is not really into dancehall, she is not really a dancehall artiste.”
“Dancehall is not just the beat or the lyrics. Using dancehall on a hiplife tune does not make it dancehall. It is semi; it’s not 100 per cent. Singing Patois on a dancehall'. She lamented.
