Ghanaian
dancehall star, Stonebwoy has refuted claims by some people that he and his
management could not afford to pay for his trip to Jamaica, leading to him
pulling out of the Sting.
The multiple
award-winning dancehall artiste, was reacting to comments by some people in the
industry including director of Sting Africa, Mr. Logik, that he showed
disrespect to the Sting Jamaica brand by failing to go.
Speaking on the
AM Pluzz show, the Higher hit maker explained that he and his
management eventually decided against appearing on Sting, for purely business
reasons.
Stonebwoy
referred to his vast experience from other international platforms and stated
that things were not done right as far as his appearing on Sting was concerned
and thus asked for people not to misinterpret the issue.
The BET award
winner then assured his fans that he appreciates their support, emphasised that
he could have paid for his trip to Jamaica and apologised to anyone he might
have offended by not going on Sting.
