The Public Relations Officer for Charter House, George Quaye, has insisted that the court case between Shatta Wale is still pending and not abandoned as being speculated in the public.
“Shatta Wale can still file for nomination but the Board has the mandate to determine if his songs qualify for an award.
“Shatta is my brother I like him and like his song as well, He is a great artiste and a good performer on stage but we are still in court with him,” George Quaye noted.
According to him, the unsettled issue will not go against Shatta’s decision to file any of his songs to be nominated for the 2016 Ghana Music Awards, adding that selection of songs is solely the prerogative of the Committee members to decide if he qualifies for any of the categories.
