‘Hiplife
Grandpapa’, Reggie Rockstone, has praised the younger generation of Ghanaian
Hiplife artistes for jumping to the movement he started, and taking it to a
higher level.
Reggie told CNN African voices that the genre has grown so big and he is grateful to Sarkodie and the other artistes who work hard at making it better each day.
Facts:
The man credited with starting the hiplife movement
in Ghana, Reggie Rockstone is hoping that the music genre will be greater than
it is now.
Reggie started the genre, a fusion of Ghanaian
highlife and American hiphop, in the 1990s which currently provides employment
for thousands of Ghanaians.
